We are proud to offer a diverse group of outstanding
herdsires for outside breedings to your females. Breeding fees include
60 days free board, excellent care for your female and cria (including
routine worming, vaccinations, etc.), confirmation of pregnancy
by Dr. Norm Evans by ultrasound or progesterone, and a 10-day live
cria guarantee. We have tested our entire herd and require BVDV
testing for all animals coming to our farm.
ALL of our sires are of the highest
possible quality and from the world's most elite bloodlines, proven
either by their ancestors or their offspring. They include the genetics
of Accoyo Royal Fawn (who sold in 2005 for a world's record $600,000),
Accoyo Caligula, Pacific Crest Accoyo El Nino, Peruvian Hemingway,
Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus, Accoyo Camilio, and others. When selecting
herdsires, it is very important to look at the dam side of the pedigree
as well, so pay close attention to the genetics of our sire's dams
as well! You will see that our alpacas have a high concentration
(homozygosity) of positive traits.
Please schedule a time to preview our sires yourself!

Peruvian Accoyo Maverick
DOB:7/2001 ARI:829623 Color:White Sire:Accoyo Royal Fawn Dam:6Peruvian Accoyo Gisela Stud Fee:$3,500 |
We have learned to appreciate whites of the extreme high quality that Maverick exhibits- 16.9 micron fleece (at one year) that bundles into perfect, pearlescent locks! Flawless conformation, great personality, winning show record (See below). We sold his weanling full sister, My Accoyo Royal Performance at the 2003 AOBA Auction for $50,500! Maverick now has over 30 crias on the ground, and a large percentage are DARKER than their dams. Many have taken blues and championships, and most have elite fleeces- MANY of our clients have said they will NEVER sell their Maverick crias, their best ever! Maverick is a part of our Thoroughly Bred Herdsire stable, and is proudly co-owned with Catalpa Creek Alpacas.

Accoyo America Prophecy
DOB:8/23/03 ARI:851809 Color:Medium Fawn Sire:Pperuvian Camilio Dam:5Peruvian Destiny (black) |
We searched long and hard to find just the right son of Accoyo Camilio (known to impart his wonderful fiber and solid structure while letting color come through to his offspring- a fixture in the Pacific Crest herd), and were thrilled to find Prophecy! His black dam, Destiny, is dam of Prophecy's full sister, AOBA Champion PCA Butternut (who sold with cria in the 2003 Accoyo America sale for $100,000+), as well as Phoenicia, dam of the undefeated brown, Accoyo America Jason! Prophecy's first crias are arriving and look awesome, with lots of color including maroon, fawn, and grey- his first appears to be dark rose grey! Prophecy is a great bet to add dense Accoyo genetics while maintaining color in the breeding female! Congratulations to Scott and Tracy Murphy of Harvest Farm for their purchase of Prophecy!

This colored full Accoyo is incredible, with a wonderful histogram at 1 year (AFD 16.5m,SD 3.2m, CV 19.4%, %>30 0.3%). Skin biopsy results by Dr. Norm Evans have revealed his BEST-EVER recorded follicle density for an alpaca at 107 follicles/sq mm and an S/P ratio of 13.28/1! He has a confident, calm personality with great presence and solid structure, topped off by an extremely typey head. "Mike's" first crias have arrived, and they are spectacular! They include white, beige, light fawn, brown, and even THREE GREYS! His crias have already racked up championships in white and even GREY! Michelangelo is with us until the end of May.

Barbaro is developing into a stunning macho after showing much potential as a juvenile, much like his famous sire, Michelangelo. At a few months of age, Dr. Evans tested Barbaro at 110 follicles/sq mm of skin! His S/P ratio is 9/1. Dr. Evans made special note of his awesome gland presence. He has had a stellar show career and will be returning soon to Seldom Scene to begin breeding! We proudly co-own Barbaro with Rob and Joanna Stephens of RobAsia Alpaca Ranch in Wisconsin.

As the high-selling alpaca of the prestigous 2006 Parade of Champions Auction, Sinbad sold for a well-deserved $205,000. He possesses ALL of the genetics that have made Pacific Crest so successful- Grandsire Hemingway, Grand-dam Accoyo Sicuani whose offspring are all elite champions, sire Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus, and dam Accoyo Sunipani (dam of Pacific Crest Accoyo El Nino). We are thrilled to have acquired this magnificent sire who has been described as having one of the best white fleeces in the nation! Take a good look at his show record, and you will see that he was White Color Champion in the largest group of white alpacas ever assembled in the US with 117 white entries- the 2005 MAPACA show (where he beat the likes of Archangel, The Aga Khan, and others). We are proud of our partnership in this sire with Catalpa Creek Alpacas- he is part of our Thoroughly Bred Herdsire stable. Sinbad's crias are winning championships and earning some of the highest sales in elite auctions. We have been pleasantly surprised that he is producing color, even true black!

Add to that the fineness of his dam, Dulce de Leche (15.7 microns at 1 year and holding fineness), and you have the recipe for an exquisite fleece type that will take your breath away! Cupid's color initially defied description, but as time passes it appears more an more like he will be the same as Neruda, a famous dark-headed grey raised by Alpacas de la Patagonia. Not only does he have magnificent color, Cupid has presence, style, and fantastic density. We proudly sold half-interest in Cupid to Brian and Nancy Thompson of Tres Amigos Ranch in Colorado, and look forward to standing him on both of our herdsire rows in the future!

When they produced "Cody" from the late great Peruvian Dakotia and their Peruvian Chocolate Decadence, he was a beautiful bay black and we all knew he was very special! Check out his show record, the judges agreed! Like a Van Gogh, unfortunately Cody appreciated too quickly as his sire Dakotia was lost in the Land O' Lakes feed poisoning at Magical Farms. Owning this piece of art, became more valuable than ever as Dakotia was producing the likes of black MFI Pistol, Maroon My Peruvian Ace, Brown Peruvian Fagan, Fawn My Peruvian Equador and one of the greatest producer as both sire and in the show ring, MFI Peruvian Jericho! Cody has fallen right in line with his esteemed half Brothers. He now has a number of crias on the ground, some already champions, most black or dark- all have wonderful fineness, presence, excellent conformation and that extra special "look" of fantastic coverage- check them out! Cody is a "Thoroughly Bred Herd Sire", co-owned with Catalpa Creek Alpacas.
